Buy a kitten from a cattery or from ad?
When you buy a kitten from a cattery, you get a pedigree or a certificate. All pets are the club members, which means that you don't have to worry about the origin of the animal because you can't register an animal of unknown parentage. Remember, a male cat or a female one that has the characteristics of a breed is considered a pedigree. The more advantageous is that breeders value their reputation, which has been gained over many years, and the chance that you will be given a sick or with genetic abnormalities, is minimal. Unfortunately, such cases have occurred more and more often in recent years. There have appeared many breeders, whose aim is not to improve the breed but a banal desire to make money. But let's skip the gloomy part, as these are the exceptions. The cattery is also concerned about their cats' health: all kittens must undergo vaccination with quality preparations, prophylaxis against guillemines and fleas. They are accustomed to the toilet and the claw. Breeder will obligatory advise you. A contract is an important factor when choosing to buy a kitten from hand or from a professional breeder. In the event of health or behaviour problems, the breeder will always go out of his way to help solve the problem.
Summing up all of the above, we can safely say that by buying a kitten from a cattery, the chances that you will get a purebred, healthy and socially adapted kitten are much higher than buying a kitten from hand. In the second case, the buyer considerably increases the chances of being cheated in one way or another. Although, in fairness, it should be noted that there are people even among non-breeders who are madly in love with their pets and keep better than many nurseries. Unfortunately, such cases are few and far between.
